On Oct. 26, Winnipeg will elect a new council for a four-year term. In particular, the mayoral race is wide open. The list of current candidates is already long and expected to grow.
We believe what happens at city hall is vital and has tremendous impact on all city residents.
Our small team of student journalists at Red River College wants to shape inclusive coverage based on your priorities, but we need your help and input to do it. We want to know what your issues and concerns are as you prepare to vote.
Put us on the right path and answer one question:
“What do you want the candidates to talk about as they compete for your vote?”
If you were able to have a talk with a candidate, what would you ask them to help you make up your mind on who to vote for?
Fill out the three-question form below or by following the link, or email us at jmajorrrc@winnipeg.ca. You can also talk to us on Twitter (our DMs are open!).
We’ll aggregate all of the responses and use them to help us focus our coverage as we begin reporting.
Thank you sincerely for your time and for helping amplify the voices of voters in the campaign. To read more about the concept of a citizen’s agenda, see here.
